Haircut and GUM!!!

Well, today was the big day! Emily got a much needed haircut and her reward was to have...wait for it...G.U.M. for the first time in her life!!!
The final look
She has been waiting for this day for so long and was VERY EXCITED!!! Needless to say she told Monica all about the gum during the haircut! Monica was also elected, by Emily of course, to help her with her first piece.

Emily sat so very still and did exactly what Monica told her to do during the haircut, albeit with lots of WHY???

The outcome is super cute with one happy little girl who has now had two pieces of gum (first one fell out when tried to blow bubble), and will get her third piece when she wakes up from her nap!

Her hair is now all one length with bangs and really darling!
Enjoy the pictures!

Can you tell she has a huge grin on her face?

Almost done...

Thank you Monica! You made my girl's day!

Christmas with the Hochhalter's

Kylie and my sweet Emily
Tonight Emily had her second of many Christmas celebrations this holiday season. It is so much fun to watch her open presents, say thank you, and have great joy with each new item she receives!

We had a lovely dinner with Grandma Judi, Grandpa Mel, Auntie Heidi, Kylie, Teri, and JuJu.

Emily thought she could help Grandpa Mel and Kylie with the annual holiday puzzle, (sorry Grandpa Mel if you're missing a piece) :-)

Let me show you how it's done guys...
After a yummy spaghetti dinner, Emily got to open lots of fun gifts! She delighted in each and every one, and was a very sweet girl saying thank you to each person that gave her the gift! She had fun playing with her new cash register, stroller for doggy, Leap Frog writing toy, and more. I think Kylie may have enjoyed Emily's new microphone as well!

A fun night was had by all! Love you Hochhalter family! Thanks for loving my little darling!
Love,
Kathy

Trip up North to Auntie's House

Happy Girl

Emily had an event-filled weekend up in Kirkland with her Auntie who went to China with us. We made our annual trip up north for a holiday weekend after a special night last Friday helping Belen celebrate her 9th birthday. My Sugarplum is so special to me and Emily! We love her so very much and we are blessed to have her in our lives! Have a GREAT 9th year Belen!

Saturday we headed out for Kirkland, and Emily was very excited to see Auntie Mary Jo, The Captain (aka Janice), Tammy, Olivia, Nick, Grandpa Darrell,  Grandma Anne, Uncle Mark, and Robbie. Most of all Emily was SO HAPPY to see all of the animals: Sasha, Spencer, Bailey, Katie, Frankie, Kimmy, and Spock. Closest and dearest to her heart would be Sasha, Auntie's big black love of a dog! She did much better this time with being gentle with ALL of the animals. Emily gets SO EXCITED around that many people and that many animals that it does take a lot of reminding to be gentle! :-)

Saturday night we went to the greatest event downtown Bellevue called Snowflake Lane. It was the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Hundreds of people on Bellevue Way to see drummers, snow princesses, Rudolph, penguins, and LOTS of snow (soap bubbles) coming from everywhere off the rooftops of Macy's and Crate and Barrel, as well as out of the snow machine right in front of us! Emily was in heaven and loving every minute of it!

Sunday, Emily had a fun time playing with Nick's daughters, Madison and Zoe. In the afternoon, after a good nap, the whole gang came over for our holiday gathering. We had good food, laughs, drinks, music, presents, fun, family, and friends. A blast was had by all, and again I must say that Emily, Julyn, and I are truly blessed to be a part of the Liechty family. Love you guys, (as Emily says).

We also helped Julyn celebrate her 47th birthday on Saturday as well! Happy Birthday JuJu! We love you!

Enjoy the pictures from our marvelous weekend!
Love,
Kathy
