Emily and Elmo |
Where have we been you may ask??? Well, believe it or not, in a house with two computers, they both went kaplooey at the same time! So it has been over a month without a working computer in my household. Thank goodness for Julyn, as she has been checking my e-mail daily for me, because I can't get on it from work!!! YIKES...such is the life, BUT now I at least have one of my computers up and running again. Laptop still is having hard drive issues, but that's another story.
You may wonder what Emily and I have been up to since my last post on April 23rd. Well, the answer is LIFE...just living our day to day life with work/school, and a few fun things thrown in for good measure! :-)

So FUN!! |
May 5th was a very busy day in the life of my darling daughter. That morning she got picked up by grandpa and grandma to go see Sesame Street Live starring the big red guy himself...ELMO!!! Oh boy, was she ever excited to see Elmo! I heard from the grandparents that Emily couldn't get enough of Elmo, and every time he left the stage and the other characters came out, she would ask repeatedly "Where Elmo go?" Needless to say she came home with a GIGANTIC Elmo balloon (that is still inflated in our house a month later) and a huge stuffed Elmo! THANK YOU grandpa and grandma. Emily had a BLAST!!
After nap on the same day we headed out to the school where I work and had loads of fun at our school carnival. Our PTA did a bang up job, and we raised $8,000 for our school!!! Emily wasn't too sure about the games inside, but that could have been because it was SO crowded. She did end up liking the duck pond game; she played that five times. She loved getting prizes at every game and had fun disco dancing with one of my students in the disco area! The most fun she had was hanging out with our friends, and my former students, Kira and Kayla Black. They did lots of activities together, ate dinner, and went in the bouncy house together! All in all it was an extremely busy day for the darling and she was a trooper!
