Emily's Writing

Today Emily and I were coloring, cutting, and gluing while listening to music about Jesus. When I got up from the table to start making dinner, she told me to close my eyes for a surprise. I then told her I wouldn't look, but couldn't close my eyes while I was cooking.


When she was done, she made me close my eyes, hold out my hands, and she handed me paper and said, "Prise mommy!". 


Well, was I every surprised at my lovely picture of colors, rainbows, and her first time to write Mommy all by herself!!!!!! I am sure hoping you can see it in the picture as she used light blue, but it is there. M-O-M-M-Y in all it's glory! She then proceeded to point to the picture and said, "That's me too mommy." My girl is getting so big!


The other picture is a shot of the gift she is giving her teacher tomorrow night at the preschool end of the year Sundae Party. I got the idea out of Parents magazine. The big C is for Miss Crista. The L was painted by Emily front and back for her teacher's assistant, Miss Lindsey. Then we glued the ladybug on for L and Emily. I am sure we will have more photos tomorrow night after the big event!
