| Muffins with Mommy 2012 |
Mother's Day was wonderful this year! It all started on May 11th when I got to take the day off from work and go to Muffins with Mommy at Emily's preschool! We got to have juice and muffins and make a craft together, and I received my new wonderful place mat with a poem and Emily's cute hand print, as well as a new bookmark with her thumb prints turned into darling butterflies.
On Sunday, May 13th, Emily woke up and went and got into bed with Auntie JuJu. She had spent the night Saturday night to help Emily surprise me for Mother's Day. When I got up, I had flowers, cards, and gifts from the wee girl! Thank you JuJu for taking her shopping! Emily loved giving me her gifts that JuJu let her pick out, a new book, a new super pan for my kitchen, and some much needed storage containers. My tulips were beautiful as well! What's so uncanny is that I always put a vase of flowers out in honor of Emily's birth mother, with one flower for each year of Emily's age. The tulips Emily picked out for me just happened to have 5 purple tulips in the bunch! I had planned on buying flowers, but when we noticed this, we decided to use my special flowers from Emily to also honor her birth mother. We also had an extra lilac from our yard, just from the sweet girl!
After church we went to the zoo, one our favorite hangouts, and then to PF Chang's for lunch! All in all it was a wonderfully special day spent with my precious one! Hope you all had a great day as well!
