WOW...I haven't posted since August 18th...Sorry! We had a great end of summer vacation. We went to Emily's school and visited her teachers, saw her classroom, and played on the playground just us four the last week of August. Emily's two teachers also came to our house for a "play date" on August 31st. We are all hoping that having Emily build a deeper relationship with her teachers, and having monthly "play dates" at our home, will help her at school.
On to today...Miss Emily headed back to King's Way Christian School Learning Center for her second year! She has two new teachers, Miss Laurel and Miss Crista. Emily already adores them, and so today went very smooth. She was a wee bit apprehensive at first, but after we did pictures, hung up her back pack and nap stuff, we headed back to the early arrivers big play room. When she saw Miss Laurel she went running for her and was very happy when I left! Ahhh, my girl is growing up!
I wondered all day how she was doing, and lo and behold, when I arrived at 3:30 to pick her up, I was happily informed that Emily had a GREAT DAY!!! She made a new friend named Annabelle, and took her nap, played nice, shared, and listened to her teachers! YEAH!!! One day down!!! Way to go Babe!!! Mommy is so PROUD of you!
