God Bless America

Each year since becoming a family, I have dressed my sweet girl in red, white, and blue, and had her hold, twirl, dance with etc. the American flag. I am SO blessed to have her as my daughter, and to raise her in this country where we are free. Had she not become my daughter, I can't imagine what her life would have turned out like. So here is my princess in her finery ready to be a proud American!

Soccer Camp Day 2

Loves to RUN!!!

Emily did just as well today and even had a chance to try to be defender. All the kids had a turn to wear the "Red vest" and get the ball from the other kids. She loved this part. She didn't love when the defenders tried to get the ball from her though, very funny. She did great even when during part of the hour it started to rain and she had to keep on playing in her rain coat with the hood up! Tomorrow will bring more delight and enjoyment I am sure!

Day 1 of Soccer Camp

My girl!!!

Today the wee one had her very first experience with soccer...and she LOVED it! Maybe this will be her sport. One never knows. All I know is I just put her to bed and she is very excited for tomorrow and day 2 of camp. I think she did fabulously well for having never played the sport, listened to the coach for the whole hour, and did what she was told to do! You go sweet girl! It was the cutest thing watching eight kiddos from ages 4-6 trying this sport for the first time. I couldn't be any prouder than I am right now! Let's pray tomorrow is just as successful!

Father's Day 2012

Emily's third Father's Day spent with my dad, her grandpa, followed tradition and was spent at the zoo and PF Chang's. We all had a very lovely day, and the weather was just wonderful. Sunny, but not too hot, so the animals were all out. Grandpa and Grandma got to our house at 9 a.m., and Emily gave Grandpa his gift she had made at the ceramics studio, and then we headed out! The zoo was a busy place today, but it wasn't so bad that you couldn't see. We had a fun time seeing all of our favorite animals and riding the train to the Rose Gardens and back!

As usual we all enjoyed our yummy lunch at PF Chang's and loved just spending time together!
Happy Father's Day out there to all you wonderful dads, grandpas, uncles, etc. Hope your day was filled with relaxation and fun times with your families!
